Dear Valued Client,


I hope this notice finds you and your loved ones safe. On May 6, 2020, Governor Hogan issued an executive order stating, in part, that all health care professionals may begin treating patients for elective and non-urgent medical procedures. While I am excited to start seeing clients, I am doing so at a slower pace than before the pandemic to ensure the safety of everyone.


The health and safety of my clients and myself have always been a top priority for my practice. I follow infection control recommendations made by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).


In addition to our regular infection control measures, we are putting into place the following protocols:


COVID-19 Questionnaire and Screening- I will communicate with you before your appointment to ask some screening questions. I ask that you complete a new intake form via e-mail before arriving for your appointment. If you have or have had a fever within the last 14-21 days, have shortness of breath or a cough, flu-like symptoms such as gastrointestinal upset, headache or fatigue, have recently experienced loss of taste or smell, are in contact with any COVID-19 positive patients, or have travelled to any known COVID-19 regional “hotspots” within the last 14 days, please reschedule your appointment by phone.


Client Check-in Procedures- Clients are asked to check-in via text message to 443-618-3181 upon arrival in our parking lot. Please remain in your car until I call you back and ask your initial screening questions. When that is complete, please put on your mask, and I will greet you at the office door to take your temperature. Please limit what you choose to bring into the office. Use the hand sanitizer in the room when you arrive.  Please come to your appointment alone or have the person(s) with you wait in the car. Please leave children at home with childcare if they do not have an appointment.


Client Check-out Procedures- Payments will all be made online prior to your appointment. Should you prefer to pay by cash or cheque I will leave an envelope in the room for you to do so.


Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)- During your treatment, I will wear an N95 mask, face shield and/or goggles.  I will change my work clothes in between each client/appointment. I ask that you please keep your mask on at all times in the office, and if you must use the bathroom during your visit, please wash your hands thoroughly.


Sanitizing Procedures- I am vigilant on sanitizing all areas that come into contact with clients. All door handles, countertops, and the patient restroom are wiped clean with hospital grade disinfectant after each client and throughout the day. A new HEPA Air Purifier is installed in the treatment room to help combat any bacteria and virus that may be airborne.


On a personal note, I would like to be forthright and open with all of my clients as I am counting on you to be with me. I myself was ill with COVID-19 in the final two weeks of June. I am healthy now, but this is an additional reason for me to remain closed until the end of July. My family and I have been self-isolating since mid-June. Additionally, I have been cleared by my PCP to resume work.
